Further Details:

  • The meeting will comprise 2 days of talks and 2 local field days to encourage discussion of the emerging meeting themes. Registration fees will include the day field excursions and lunches on all 4 days.
  • The following fieldtrips are offered;
    • Pre conference:
      • Rift Margin Sedimentation - The Iberian Ranges. (Phil Hall et al Durham)
    • Post conference:
      • Tertiary alluvial fans of the southern Pyrenees: tectonic, climatic and source area controls on facies. (Gary Nichols, RHNBC)
      • Models for Late Miocene-Modern alluvial fan development, Granada and Guadix Basins (Central Betic Cordillera). (Cesar Viseras et al. Granada)
  • Accommodation for the conference will be offered in local hotels, field centre and houses.
  • A conference dinner will be held at a local restaurant, complete with its own olive press
