Overview:
The 2004 Annual General Meeting is being jointly hosted by the Manchester Metropolitan University and the University of Manchester from Sunday 19th to Tuesday 21st December 2004. Workshops and fieldtrips will be on Sunday 19th, with the technical sessions on the 20th and 21st December.

Key note speakers have been invited and key themes for the meeting include:

  • Coastal and shallow marine sediments
  • Alluvial and lacustrine sedimentology
  • Carbonates and carbonate diagenesis
  • Geomicrobiology
  • Environmental sedimentology
  • Holocene sediment records of environmental change
  • Turbidites and deep water sediments
  • Sedimentation and tectonics
  • Glacial and periglacial sedimentology

However oral and poster presentations for all areas of sedimentology are invited.
