Members of BSRG maybe interested in the following meeting:

BGRG Spring Field Meeting: May 20-22 2005 The British Geomorphological Research Group's annual spring field meeting event will take place in SW England, 20th-22nd May 2005, convened by Martin Stokes and Jim Griffiths (University of Plymouth).

The meeting will encompass all aspects of the geomorphology of SW England (processes, landforms, Quaternary geology / environmental change) but will specifically examine ‘the geomorphological impact of extreme Atlantic weather conditions’.

Friday 20th May 2005 - a one day paper conference at the University of Plymouth. Papers and poster presentations examining the geomorphology of SW England are invited.

Saturday 21st & Sunday 22nd May 2005 - a 2 day field trip to west Cornwall (Quaternary storm beaches) and north Cornwall/Devon (low frequency high magnitude flash floods - Boscastle region with the British Geological Survey).

Deadlines:
Paper / Poster abstract deadline = Monday 4th April 2005.
Conference and fieldtrip registration and payment deadline = Monday 4th April 2005.

Costs:
Conference & field trip = £69 (includes fieldtrip transport, overnight fieldtrip accommodation and meals)
Conference only = £23 (includes refreshments & lunch)
