Description: I am a broad-based soft rock geologist with expertise in ichnology/palaeoecology as is pertinent to palaeoenvironmental analysis and reservoir geology. I have worked for the last 8 years with the ichnology, sedimentology and sequence stratigraphy of shallow marine (especially tidal) depositional systems. In 2004 I was appointed to a Canada Research Chair at Memorial University of Newfoundland, setting up the Biogeology Laboratory for studying palaeoichnology, animal-sediment interactions and experimental ichnology. Through financial support from CRC, Memorial University, PPSC and industry, a number of research positions are currently available- both field and laboratory based. My external consulting activities include running training courses oil company staff in ichnology and tidal sedimentology and providing expert advice on ichnology, sedimentology and sequence stratigraphy.
