Description: Completed Ph.D from Strathclyde University (1990) in “Applied Sedimentology” titled 'The distribution and dispersal of heavy minerals on the continental shelf around the Shetland Islands'. Since graduation I have worked with Petronas and Shell Malaysia and now with Qatar Petroleum. I have now gained extensive experience in characterization and modeling (mapping & 3D modeling) of clastic and carbonate reservoirs from Far East and Middle East Asian oil and gas fields. Also experience in core descriptions, petrography, clay analysis using XRD & SEM, porosity & permeability analysis, electrofacies from cored wells and well design and planning etc.
