Description: I am currently working on an EU-funded project on European Catchments : Catchment changes and their Impact on the Coast (EUROCAT) http://www.iia-cnr.unical.it/EUROCAT/project.htm collating data on past and present fluxes of trace metals and nutrients through the Humber Estuary, UK, and modelling future fluxes according to the likely effects of a range of estuary management scenarios.

I am also involved in a project with the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research http://www.tyndall.ac.uk, Integrated modelling of an estuarine environment: An Assessment of managed realignment in estuaries, a study based on the Blackwater/Colne estuary in Essex http://www.tyndall.ac.uk/research/theme4/summary_t2_41.shtml

I continue to be interested in the fluxes of trace metals through the marine environment as a result of hydrothermal venting, and the comparison with anthropogenic inputs from industrial effluent.
