This workshop is aimed at PhD students and those who are researchers or who work in industry at an early career stage, and are interested in gaining an introductory overview into the value of core description and its wide-reaching applications for Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS). Registration for the 20 places available is on a ‘first come, first served’ basis, with no more than three participants from the same organisation. You must have registered and bought a ticket for the conference in order to sign up for the workshop.
The workshop will provide a workflow for geoscientists looking to enhance their core description skills, with a focus on: a systematic approach to core description; identifying and detailing heterogeneity that can directly impact reservoir performance and storage efficiency; and how to integrate core observations with other datasets to build robust geological models.
This is a unique opportunity to learn from industry experts and gain a deeper understanding of the link between core-scale data and field-scale CCS performance.

The workshop is free to attend, but participants must be at an early career stage
Date: Tuesday 16th December
Time: 9 am - 5 pm
Location: Department of Earth Science and Engineering, Imperial College London
